Description of job duties:

  • Welcome Guests, Employees, and Students by greeting them, in person or on the telephone
  • Answering or directing inquiries
  • Assist in hosting events
  • Assist in maintaining department schedules by maintaining calendars for department personnel, arranging meetings, conferences, and travel
  • Set up meetings/training etc. on outlook calendar
  • Prepare class materials and handout material for training sessions, etc.
  • Attend required meetings
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Self-starter

Instructional Positions

Cosmetology Instructor

Full Time.

Willing to work nights and weekends. Help provide a well balanced cosmetology education and proper development of basic skills for student success.

Nursing Instructor

Minimum RN Degree.

Current, unencumbered Texas Nursing License required. Minimum three years’ experience as a nurse.

Instructor of Instrumentation and Electrical Technology

Requirements: Minimum requirements: AAS degree in a technical area and 5 years’ experience. Preferred requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical area.

Description of job duties: Responsible for classroom and lab instruction in all phases of industrial technology. Responsibilities include curriculum development, advising students, and serving on local and/or state committees. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must have good computer skills for instructional purposes. Ability to communicate effectively and supervise others. Must have current technical and maintenance knowledge. A strong commitment to student success, innovation, collaboration and quality and be able to stay current in the field is required. Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials. Ability to work under stress, work independently and as a team member, and deal with people in a professional manner. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

Part-Time Instructors
Frank Phillips College is in constant search of qualified instructors for all credit and non-credit curriculum offerings.� Employment will be determined by instructor qualifications and student demand. Summer, fall, or spring � evenings or weekend opportunities available.� Retirees encouraged to apply. Bilingual skills are a plus.�

Specific areas most needed that require a Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field:� Biology, Communications, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Geology, Government, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Spanish, and Theology
