Trenching, Excavation, and Soil Mechanics Class

Correctly identify and assess safety hazards and determine if citations need to be issued through information covered in this course. Included are soil inspection, analysis and classification, wood and hydraulic shoring and a discussion of the requirements for training site personnel. We will cover the OSHA regulations that pertain to excavation safety. This class will also show the student how to perform soil samples while they are working out in the field. This is an 8-hour course.
